A day with the family in Melbourne

Sunday February 2nd

We had a great day today, doing a few odd plumbing and gardening jobs for John’s parents and then lunch and lively conversation at his sister’s place with the rest of the family.  The hot weather wasn’t much fun but we got through it with lots of water and air conditioning.

Although we usually have dinner at a Vietnamese or other Asian restaurant when we’re with the Abells, we thought that we’ll be eating enough Asian food over the next few weeks, so we went to a fabulous South American restaurant across the road from John’s niece’s place then back to her place for dessert.

We went back to John’s sister’s for a shower and then she and her husband dropped us off at the Melbourne Airport.

At last, we’re really on our way!
